Steps to make Dal Makhani:
- Wash dal by rubbing it through your palm at least 2-3 time it's very important step. and soak it for overnight.Crush garlic and soak it in water..
- Now put overnight soak dal in thick bottom pan because we are not going to pressure cook it.(Most important for authentic taste and texture) Pour some water in start cooking it on low flame and garlic water..
- Now after 45 minutes add salt and 30 gm of butter.and keep cooking..
- Tempting 1:- heat ghee in a pan add degi mirch and puree. Cook it for 6-7 minutes. Add this to the dal. Again cook it for 45 minutes. U can add water if needed..
- After 30 minutes add 30 gm of butter..
- Again after 45 minutes add remaining butter..
- Tampring 2:- heat ghee in pan add ginger Julian, degi mirch and kasuri methi and immediately add 1 tsp water to prevent the colour of degi mirch..
- Add this tampering to dal. After 5 minutes add malai and cook for 5 minutes more..
- Ur authentic dal makhani is ready to serve with Naan/Roti..
