The ingredients needed to make Dal makhani:

  1. {Take 1 cup of urad dal.
  2. {Take 1/4 cup of rajma/kidney beans.

Instructions to make Dal makhani:

  1. Wash and soak rajma,urad dall in water overnight or 8-10 hours.drain well and then add them in a pressure cooker add 4cups of water and cook for 8-10 whistles till both dal and rajma have cooked and softened well.
  2. In a pan now heat butter add the whole spices,cumin seeds fry till the spices become aromatic and sputter then add finely chopped onions stir and saute the onions till they become light golden then add ginger garlic paste and stir again.
  3. Now add tomato puree,red chilli powder mix very well and saute on a medium heat then add cooked daland rajma mix well and simmer the dal uncovered on a low heat.mash a few lentils too while stirring once the dal has begun to thicken add more water and cooked for 20minutes in low flame.
  4. When the dal has thickened enough then add cream.mix the cream very well then switch off the flame now add kasouri methi crushed stir again.
  5. Serve dal makhani garnished with coriander leaves and cream serve with naan, paratha.
  6. Another pan add the ghee add cumin seeds when the cumin seeds starts splatter add chopped onion and fry till they become translucent add tomato puree and fry 2-3minutes add.
