The ingredients needed to make Dal makhani:

  1. {Take 2 bowl of saboot urad.
  2. {Take 1 bowl of rajma.
  3. {Take 1/4 bowl of chana daal.
  4. {Get 3-4 of tomatoes.

  6. {Prepare 1 of chopped ginger.
  7. {Take 3-4 of green chillies.
  8. {Get as per taste of Salt.

  11. {Make ready 2 tea spoon of dhaniya powder.
  12. {Take 1 tea spoon of mashed kasuri methi.
  13. {Get 2 table spoon of milk.
  14. {Prepare 2 table spoon of curd.
  15. {Get 1 table spoon of oil.
  16. {Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of jeera.
  17. {Prepare 1 Pinch of hing.
  18. {Make ready as needed of Green coriander leaves for garnishing.
  19. {Make ready as needed of Butter or cream to garnish.

Steps to make Dal makhani:

  1. Soak saboot urad, rajma and chana daal whole night.
  2. Boil the entire things by adding salt in the above (1) by whistling on high flame with 2-3 whistles and dein on slow gas for half an hour.
  3. After taking out whistle add milk into it and mix it and keep it.
  4. Make puree of tomatoes, onions, ginger, green chillies, curd together.
  5. Take oil in kadai, add jeera, hing and puree. Let the oil leave from the side.
  6. Add turmeric powder, dhaniya powder, red chilli powder, kasuri methi in the kadai in the puree. Mix it well.
  7. Put the boiled dal in the puree.
  8. Mix it well and let it cook by covering for 5-10 minutes.
  9. Dal makhani is ready to eat with rice, Parantha or chapati.
  10. Garnish it with coriander leaves and cream.
