The ingredients needed to make Dal Makhani:
- {Prepare 1/2 cup of black lentil.
- {Get 1/2 cup of red kidney beans / Rajma.

- {Take according to taste of Salt, chilli powder and turmeric powder.
Steps to make Dal Makhani:
- Wash the black lentil and Rajma thoroughly with water and pressure cook it on a medium flame for about half an hour..
- In a pan add 2 tbsp of ghee, when it gets heated up add the whole jeera. When the jeera starts spluttering add ginger garlic paste and the chopped onions and cook it for a while till the raw smell of ginger-garlic goes away. Now add chopped tomatoes and cook for about a minute..
- Now to it add the boiled dal and mix well. And let it simmer on a slow flame for about 5 minutes..
- To it now add jeera powder, garam masala, and dhaniya powder. Mix well..
- Take a shonk pan, add 2 tbsp butter let it melt, and add a little red chili powder to it. Don't heat the butter, you have to just melt it. Add this to the dal..
- Now add fresh cream mix it with light hands. Switch off the gas. Garnish it with coriander leaves. Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice..
