Instructions to make Dal Makhani:

  1. Wash the dal & rajma with fresh water & soak them for 3_ 4 hours..
  2. Put Dal & rajma in the cooker with chopped onions, tomatoes,grated ginger, salt & red chilli powder.Add 2 cup of water..
  3. Cover with lid & cook on high flame,After one whistle,slow down the flame & cook for 30 minutes..
  4. Open the lid after 30 minutes & check if everything is properly cooked or not..
  5. Now add 2 tbsp of malai in it & add 1 cup of water.Stir constantly.cook on slow flame for 10 minutes.Switch off the flame..
  6. In a pan,pour 2 TSP of pure ghee with cumin seeds,Cook till aroma smells away..
  7. Pour the cooked dal in the serving bowl & sprinkle the tadka,garam masala, coriander powder on it..
  8. Garnish with kasoori methi & serve hot with chapati or laccha Parantha..
