Steps to make Dal Makhni:

  1. In pressure cooker add dal and water.now in a chopper add onion, green chilli, tomato and garlic cloves and chop well.add this into the cooker.now add salt, Turmeric powder and oil.cover with lid and wait for 6 whistles..
  2. After that open the lid and boil it on medium flame.add all spices and cream and mix well.boil for 10-15 minutes..
  3. For Tadka:- in a tadka pan add oil and cumin seeds.then add onion and cook till light brown colour.add this tadka into the dal..
  4. In a bowl add dal garnish with cream, butter and Coriander leaves.serve hot with chapati..
