Steps to make Dal makhani:
- Soak black urad dal and rajma overnight or around 6 hours.
- Put it in the cooker and add finely chopped onion optional with coriander,red chilli and Turmeric and garam masala powder and cook for 8 to 10 whistles or till completely mashed.
- Take a kadai add butter with ginger garlic paste.
- Cook till ginger garlic changes colour add red chilli powder,once oil separates add slit green chillies.
- Add tomato puree into this and cook till oil separates.
- Check the dal if cooked add the dal in the masala,cover and cook for 20 minutes.
- Now prepare the tadka for the dal take garlic and crush them fry them till dark golden in colour.
- Add fried garlic in dal with more butter.
- Lastly add cream before serving.
