- Soak black urad dal and rajma for 8 to 10 hours. Then whistle it for 8 to 10 times by adding water, a pinch of salt, soda and turmeric to it. Heat oil, ghee and butter in the kadhai. Then add cumin seeds and curry leaves to it. Add a pinch of asafoetida..
