- Grease n dust your loaf tin..
- In a medium sufuria / casserole, add your margarine, put on the heat, melt it then put off the heat...The temparature here should be lukewarm..
- To the margarine, add milk, sugar, salt n egg as u mix..
- To the above add yeast, cover with a lid n let it proof for 5 mins..
- Mean while sieve your flour n add a pinch of egg yellow colour..
- After 5 mins of yeast proofing, add your flour n mix well using your hands. Knead for 6 mins..
- Smear some cooking oil on your dough then cover for 30-45 mins..
- After this, continue kneading your dough to a fine, soft, light n smooth for few minutes removing all the air inside..
- Roll into a log n shape it to a loaf..
- Put it in your loaf tin, cover n let it rest for 30 mins..
- Pre heat your oven at 190 degrees. Note: You can play around with this depending on your oven..This means you need to know your oven well..
- After that, using egg white, Egg wash your loaf n make few insertions..
- Bake your loaf for 30 mins or until ready n brown..
- When ready, put off your oven, remove the bread n egg wash it again, return it in the oven for a minute for the shiny look..
- Your loaf is ready. Cool it n serve it when ready with a glass of warm milk or a drink of your choice..
It makes for wonderful sandwiches, French toast or toast! There are many milk bread recipes on the net, and many of them are quite complicated.
