- Soak dal and kidney beans together over night. Next day cook it with salt and turmeric for 20 min on low heat in a cooker..
- Now open the cooker when cool and add milk.Cook for 3-4 min..
- Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds,garlic,ginger and onion and cook.When onion becomes golden brown,add red chilli powder and tomato.Cook for 4 min..
- Add dal and kasuri methi.Cook for 5 min. on a low flame..
- Add half of the butter.Your dal makhani is ready to serve..
- Garnish it with cream and butter..
- To make Roomali roti - mix all-purpose flour,salt and oil.Add milk to make soft dough.Leave it for 1/2 an hour..
- Heat a karahi up side down, sprinkle some salty water over it.(Karahi should be very hot).
- Make small balls from the dough and roll on very thin chapati and big in size..
- Cook it on a hot karahi,when you see bubbles on the chapati,flip it and cook it from other side.Remove it from the karahi,keep it in a cotton napkin..
- Serve Dal Makhani and Roomali roti with salad and Pickle..
